Eid Gifts Under ৳1,500: A Marketplace Shopping Plan

Gift ideas by person and budget, plus the ordering plan that keeps delivery charges from quietly eating the gift budget.

Eid Gifts Under ৳1,500: A Marketplace Shopping Plan

Eid gifting has a predictable failure: you find eight lovely things across eight different shops, and by the time the delivery charges are added the budget has quietly grown by a third. On a marketplace where each shop ships its own parcel, the plan matters as much as the picks.

So this guide has both — ideas by person, then the ordering plan.

For parents

Practical beats novel here almost every time. A good quality panjabi or a soft shawl, a rechargeable table fan or emergency light for load-shedding season, a blood pressure monitor, a proper prayer mat, or a large thermos flask. Most sit between ৳600 and ৳1,500 across the home, fashion and health categories, and all of them get used weekly rather than admired once.

For a sibling

Wireless earbuds and a phone case are the safe crowd-pleasers under ৳1,500. Beyond those, consider a desk lamp with a phone stand, a decent water bottle, a small speaker, or a skincare set if you know what they already use. If they are studying, a good backpack in that range is a genuinely useful gift.

For a child

Look for something that lasts past the first week: building blocks, a drawing set with real paper, a story book set in Bangla, a kids' watch, or a simple ride-on for the very young. Check the seller's listed age range and the photographs before ordering, and prefer shops that show the actual item rather than a stock render.

For a colleague or a household you visit

Keep it neutral and consumable: a dry fruit or dates gift box, a good tea or coffee set, a candle and diffuser pairing, or a small serving dish. Anything shareable is easier to receive than anything personal.

The ordering plan

  1. Shortlist first, buy second. Use the wishlist to collect everything, then look at which shops the items came from.
  2. Consolidate by shop. Two gifts from one shop is one delivery charge; two shops is two. Check whether a near-equivalent item exists in a shop you are already buying from.
  3. Check each shop's zone rate and free-delivery threshold before you finalise.
  4. Order early. The last week before Eid is when couriers are slowest and stock is thinnest, and no shop can promise a date the road will not give.
  5. Ask about gift packaging in the order thread. Many shops will do it; almost none advertise it.

One honest note

Midmart does not deliver these parcels and does not hold your payment — each shop does its own. So for gifts that must arrive by a specific day, favour shops with a strong delivery record and a clear ETA in their policy, and give the calendar more room than you think you need.
