Nine Signals That Tell You a Shop Will Actually Deliver

Every shop on Midmart is independent, so choosing well is the skill that matters. These are the nine signals worth two minutes before you order.

Nine Signals That Tell You a Shop Will Actually Deliver

On Midmart, every shop is a separate business. It sets its own prices, writes its own return policy, ships with its own courier and collects its own payment. That independence is the point of the marketplace — and it means the single most useful skill you can have here is judging a shop before you order.

Everything below is visible on a shop's page. Two minutes of reading covers all nine.

1. The verified badge

A verified shop has had its national ID and business documents checked by our team. Verification is optional, so its absence is not proof of anything — but its presence means a real, identifiable person stands behind the shop.

2. Rating with the number beside it

A 5.0 from two orders and a 4.6 from four hundred are very different facts. Always read the count next to the star. Only buyers with a delivered order can leave a review here, so the number is small but honest.

3. How long the shop has traded

The join date is on the profile. A new shop is not a bad shop, and everyone starts at zero — but pair a new shop with cash on delivery rather than an advance.

4. A written delivery policy

Every shop must publish one before it can trade. Read it. It tells you who ships, how long it usually takes, and what happens if something goes wrong on the road.

5. A written return policy

This is the one buyers skip and later wish they had not. Because Midmart neither collects the payment nor books the courier, the shop's return policy is the entire agreement about returns. If it is vague, ask before ordering.

6. Delivery charges that make sense

Each shop sets its own rate for the three zones — Inside Dhaka, Outside Dhaka City, and Suburban & Rural. A rate far below every other shop for a heavy item is worth a question, not an assumption.

7. Listings with real photographs

Stock images pulled from a manufacturer's site are common and not damning. Photographs of the actual item, from more than one angle, with the packaging visible, tell you the seller has the stock in hand.

8. Specific product descriptions

Model number, capacity, dimensions, what is in the box, what warranty the seller offers. Every specific answered up front is a question you will not have to chase after delivery.

9. How the shop answers a message

Send a question through the shop's message thread before you order. A shop that answers a straight question with a straight answer within a day is telling you what dealing with them will be like.

The two-minute version

Check the badge, read the count beside the rating, read both policies, then ask one question and see how it is answered. If all four hold up, order. If any of them wobbles, choose cash on delivery — or choose a different shop, because there is rarely only one selling what you want.
