These terms apply to sellers who buy advertising on Midmart. They add to the Seller Agreement.
Advertising is optional
Selling on Midmart is free, with or without advertising. A seller who never opens the ads screen pays Midmart nothing. Advertising is the one thing Midmart sells, and it is sold to sellers for Midmart's own promotion service.
Advertising is not part of an order
Ad payments are between the seller and Midmart. They are never taken from a buyer's order, never added to a buyer's total, and never touch a delivery charge. Buyers still pay shops directly, and Midmart still holds no buyer money.
The ad wallet
- You add money to a prepaid ad wallet in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) through the payment gateway shown at top-up. Midmart does not store your card or wallet details.
- Ads spend from the wallet balance. When it runs out, your ads stop and your listings return to normal, unpromoted placement.
- Adding money to the wallet is not a purchase of ads until it is spent. An unspent balance remains yours: you may ask Midmart to review a refund of an unspent balance, and Midmart decides each request.
What you can buy
- Product Boost: your listing is promoted in search and category results. You are charged per click.
- Banner placements: your banner appears in selected places on the storefront. You are charged per thousand viewable impressions.
The price you set, your daily budget and the auction position decide how often an ad is shown. Midmart does not promise a number of views, clicks, orders or sales. Promoted items are labelled as ads.
Charges and refunds
You are charged for the clicks and impressions Midmart counts as valid under its measurement rules, which filter obvious duplicates and bot traffic. Spend already charged for valid clicks and impressions is not refunded because an ad did not lead to a sale. If you think you were charged wrongly, contact us with the campaign and dates.
Ad content
Ads must be accurate, must follow the Prohibited Items list and the law, and must be about what the shop actually sells. Midmart reviews ad creatives and may reject, pause or remove any ad, and suspend advertising on a shop that breaks these terms. Click fraud, including clicking your own or a competitor's ads, is not allowed and charges may be reversed.
Changes and availability
Midmart may change prices, placements and these terms, and may pause or end advertising. Where it ends advertising, remaining wallet balances are dealt with fairly. Charges are in BDT; the owner of the account is responsible for any tax that applies to their purchase.
